my job
What is my job, really?
I adapt for a living. As a matured ICT Consultant from a coastal university, my troubleshooting approach is cool, calm and collected; Sharp when needed.
More about me
Raised by a survivor of a domestic abused mother in the 90s, I had learnt throughout my upbringing the value of grit and adaptive communication that served useful whenever I resolved technology problems from staff, students and colleagues that come from different walks of life. And with the unique circumstance of working in the peripheral of a leadership office from different departments, I'd slowly but certainly found inspiration from them over the years in finding my own collaborative voice while carrying a decisive and convincing wit that results in productive conversations.
I am also an experienced generalist IT rostered at an approachable public space. This opened up diverse interactions with different cultures and personalities that aided my growth in solving a variety of technology problems. I'd actively assisted on urgent technology incidents and carry a natural interest in cybersecurity. Some of the variety of clients I had the opportunity to deal with included: TedX, ASB, ANZ, Tauranga City Council, Western Bay of Plenty Council, Priority One, STEM Festival, Waikato Uni Senior Leadership, AquaHeat, RedBadge Security, Toi Ohomai Polytech and counting.
No AI Rule
I used to have a bad case of stuttering and for perpetual mitigation, I had started this blog to help keep a sharp wit. Prompting AI for this would've really only been a way to cheat myself out of growth, so consider my atrocious grammar to be a form of digital signature.
